Lucabantu consists of two core members: Lucas Bonoko and Buntu Tembani. The Lucabantu collective draw on the services of leading local artists and storytellers in their work, enabling then to customise performances to suit any client's entertainment needs – regardless of the size or creative requirement of the function. The group has performed at a range of corporate functions and events. Lucabantu were a pivotal part of the launch of newly merged IT company SoftstartBTI, the re-launch of the Innovation Group brand to staff and business partners, the opening the Anglo Coal / BHP Billiton Water Reclamation Plant, the Women in Finance annual dinner and the InnovationTOWN gala event at the SciBono centre in Newtown. Lucabantu have also entertained over 450 guests (including the Minister of Finance, Trevor Manuel) at the launch of the South African Institute of Professional Accountants, performed at the Bell Dewar Attourneys launch and have added their inspirational African touch to spinning classes at Virgin Active Gyms and the Star Trac Spinning Convention. The group have also supported internationally acclaimed stand up Philosopher, Tim Freke, in his performance at Newtown's Xarra Books.
Lucabantu partner with Unity Design - a multi media arts organisation - in the development of corporate entertainment content. Unity has worked with many of the country's artists and arts organisations, as well as many leading companies, in putting together brand-centric entertainment functions and content.
